What
kind of customer support does ISB provide?
Integrated

by appointment via calling 441-296-4452 or by e-mail at
info@isb.bm.
Support
includes advice, adjustment and repair of all equipment
installed by ISB.
Do
the ISB Systems work over a dial-up Internet connection?
Absolutely,
any dial-up connection will work enabling you to monitor
and/or control your system from anywhere in the world.
Do
the ISB Systems work over a broadband Internet connection?
Yes,
ISB systems work with "always on" service that
a DSL, T1, or cable modem connection provides. This type
of permanent connection makes it easier and quicker to use
the camera feature to view real-time video, control your
cameras and sensors, and utilise other ISB features.
Can
I use my ISB system with a dial-up Internet service?
Yes,
you can use your ISB system with a dial-up Internet service
like MSN, and other Internet Service Provider's.
What
is an "always on" connection? What is the difference
between this and a dial-up connection?
An
"always on" connection is always connected to
the Internet, usually through a DSL, T1, or cable modem
connection. With this service, you don't have to dial up
and log on manually to your Internet Service Provider (ISP)
when you want to check e-mail as you do with a dial-up service
like MSN, and others. "Always on" Internet connections
are usually much faster than dial-up service connections.
Does
my service fee include an Internet connection or an Internet
Service Provider (ISP)?
No,
your service fee does not include Internet access. You need
to arrange for an Internet Service Provider (ISP) and install
its application software or browser software (like Microsoft
Internet Explorer or Netscape) in your computer.
Can
I view video images and video clips over the Web?
Yes,
the ISB systems enable you to remotely view video images
and video clips over the Web and view you system at near
real time speed.
How
does a security system work?
Basically,
your control panel is the systems nerve centre. Various
sensors connect to it from locations that ISB recommends.
When a sensor detects a problem, it signals the control
panel and an alarm inside the business/home. If desired,
the control panel sends the signal to a 24-hour central
monitoring facility.
What
are the sensors in the system?
Sensors
include magnetic contacts, glassbreak sensors and motion
sensors. They are usually located at entry points like doors,
windows, and gates. Motion sensors can be used to detect
activity inside and outside your home, and activate lights
and/or alarms.
What
is a Central Monitoring Station?
At
your option, your telephone line can be used to send signals
to a 24-hour, high security facility, (central monitoring
station) that can then relay the information to you and
the appropriate emergency service.
Is
a Central Monitoring Station a good idea?
ISB
recommends you seriously consider using a Central Monitoring
Station. In the event of an alarm or trouble condition,
our station can contact you and the appropriate emergency
service and whoever else you choose.
What
happens if my phone line goes out of service?
Many
security companies neglect to consider the phone line being
out of service. ISB recommends considering the use of a
backup cellular module that can transmit a signal to the
Central Monitoring Station.
What
if my electric service stops?
Every
ISB system has a backup battery system. Subject to the number
of devices installed, sensors, cameras, etc., it could sound
an alarm and dial the central station in the event of an
alarm.
Do
I have to change my lifestyle routine?
No,
your ISB system is designed to work with your lifestyle.
Access to entry and exit doors can be structured around
the way you use your business or home. Should your needs
change, ISBs digital systems enable you to make changes
immediately.
How
secure is my personal information?
ISB
is serious when we say, "Our Commitment is Your Security."
Client information is password protected and held in strictest
confidence. It is never sold or released outside our company
or its affiliates.
Do
I own my system?
Yes,
we sell the systems directly to you. Some security businesses
have "hidden leases" and charge fees for installation.
All ISB systems are yours to keep. As the client you make
the final decision on the protection and monitoring you
need.
Is
my system directly connected to the Police and Fire Departments
and/or Emergency Medical Services?
No.
When you elect to have your system monitored, the systems
send their emergency signals to a Central Monitoring Station.
The station operates twenty-four hours a day and immediately
notifies any person(s) and service(s) that you want.
Can
I use a motion detector if I have pets?
"Pet-friendly"
motion detectors can be installed. Large dogs, up to 80
pounds, will not activate the detector.
Is
my system continuously on?
The
ISB systems tamper switches, smoke detectors, and
panic buttons are always "on." Thanks to ISBs use
of digital technology, you can activate or deactivate your
system via your computer, touch-tone phone, a remote keying
device, or a conventional keypad.
If
the siren is activated will it shut off automatically?
Yes.
ISB systems can program the amount of time the siren sounds
off. Our systems sound off for a specified period of time,
usually 10 minutes. The sounding is per individual activation
and will resound each time a sensor is activated.
If
there is a break-in attempt will the system re-arm?
Yes.
The system remains armed.
Can
my security system be tested on a regular basis?
Your
ISB system can be programmed for automatic testing on any
schedule you like, e.g., daily, weekly or monthly.
What
is ISBs Medical Alert system?
This
personal emergency system alerts the Central Monitoring
Station via a personal emergency pendant to a problem and
in some cases enables the station operator and "injured"
person to speak to each other through a speaker and microphone
system. The Medical Alert System can be combined with a
burglar system. Ask a representative for more details.
How
can the ISB Medical Alert System help my housebound parent?
With
a housebound individual the capability of calling for emergency
help becomes a daily concern. Our Medical Alert System
provides an emergency pendant plus a speaker and microphone
system that is constantly monitored for viability and battery
strength. The system will contact the Central Monitoring
Station that will contact you, and/or any authorised response
service.
What
is the Speaker and Microphone system?
This
provides the ability to speak with the person in the home
to verify an alarm condition. This verification method is
handy with any housebound or incapacitated person. A speaker/microphone
unit is only activated when the Medical Alert System goes
into an alarm condition.
